Personal Portfolio–Lovisa Persson 2025

Engineer within product design, research and methodology who successfully pivoted into tech straight out of my masters. I’d like to think my work lives somewhere in-between, bridging the gap between digital, physical, and context. A multidisciplinary designer and engineer with a focus on transformation, impact, and sustainability. Continuously drawn to behavioural psychology,  nature, and astro physics. Im still fresh out of school with all of my ideas mostly intact, ready to drive impact.

About me

At 12 years old I sold my first painting. I got several orders from the people at the stables whom’s horses I got to hang out with. It was great, I got to spend time improving my painting skills, for money [1]. After a while, the same people saw my photography and editing and I ended up getting one of my images in an ad campaign for the largest pet insurer in Sweden[2]. This entrepreneurial spirit never went away–through out my teens I sold photography and paintings to contacts all over, some companies. I even ended up drawing some tattoos that are actually ON people to this day which is a pretty crazy thought.

I have always cared a lot, but I can remember the moment I realised my work could actually be impactful for something I believe in–I was going to sell birthday cards with corals to contribute to environmental research on rising sea temperatures. After this ideas was poring, and I haven’t stopped ever since. All of my work and ideas are driven by impact, it spans concentration tools for youths [3], water saving [4] and modular shelving [5] to access to entrepreneurial platforms for youths, horse case, and B2B sustainability [6]. All of the above being exclusively passion projects.

My more professional journey as a freelancer started with a branding/photography/label design project for a kombucha startup [7] the designs ended up on some of the most prestigious restaurants around the city with great exposure [8]. This was ongoing parallel to my bachelors education at KTH, we worked a lot with processes, methodology, research, sustainability and innovation. All with a human focus. I loved the increasing complexity in each project, but I was consistently missing the connection to emerging tech and connecting our projects to innovation on that level.
